Anna Hazare's crusade against corruption gains more support

Crusade against corruption by Gandhian Anna Hazare today gained additional support in Karnataka with Kannada film industry representatives joining the protest at the Freedom Park along with advocates and politicians.

Reports about support to the fight against corruption was also pouring in from various districts in the state with heads of religious mutts joining the relay hunger strike at Gulbarga, Raichur, Gadag, Bijapur, Bagalkote, Shimoga, Hassan, District headquarters.

Janata Dal (United) National Vice-President Dr Mallanagouda Nadagouda along with party workers joined the agitation by sitting on hunger strike in the Freedom Park.

Model Teena Ponappa, who is also participating in the agitation, 'this is the right time for all individuals to go ahead and support the fight against corruption. Anna Hazare is not doing it for his own benefit but for the benefit of the society. Each and everyone should come forward in the fight against corruption.' At Gulbarga, human chain was formed by all sections of the people. Swamijis of various muts, students and leaders sat on dharna in front of Mahatma Gandhi Statue in the city and shouted slogans in support of the Hazare's agitation.

Actor Chetan said that it was movement against corruption. It should become more vigorous than freedom fight since corruption had become rampant and spoiling entire society and image of the country in the world. UNI
