Campus Placement Cell (CPC)

The mission and endeavor of this Cell is to enhance and facilitate the process of gainful employment for its divergent and distributive learner population for entry-level jobs as well as mid-career level employment opportunities, matching and commensurate with their personal and academic profiles. In the present day business scenario, companies demand job-ready candidates for employment at the shortest possible time period.
The qualified students are expected to be equipped with employable skills suitable for respective sectors. Taking into account this scenario, the cell has aligned its strategies to enhance the Employ ability Quotient of our students by imparting employable skills training after their skills mapping and bridging the gaps through appropriate training.
The cell conducts on-campus and off-campus placement and employ-ability enhancement activities at the headquarters and at some Regional Centres.
The CPC will be operationalizing placement cells at 6 Regional Centres of IGNOU that have very large IGNOU alumni in order to reach out to the dispersed IGNOU alumni more effectively.

150 students shortlisted in IGNOU Campus Placement Drive


The Campus Placement Cell (CPC), IGNOU in association with Regional Centres of Delhi, NCR organized Campus Placement Drive on October 09, 2018 (Tuesday) at B. R. Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Campus, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068.
 In this drive 150 students have been shortlisted / selected for the position of Business Development Executive (BDE) in Banking Sector by the participating company.

IGNOU Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti with number of Activities around Swachh Bharat Abhiyan; IGNOU gets 5th rank in Swachh Campus Ranking 2018 by MHRD

Indira Gandhi National Open University organized number of activities to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The fortnight long activities included Safai Abhiyaan by all the Regional Centers as well as the Maidan Garhi Headquarter.
The university also received 5th rank in Swachh Campus Ranking 2018 amongst the cleanest Higher Educational Institutions in the country in the University (Non Residential) category by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The university was also awarded for Maintaining, Promoting, and Encouraging the Culture of “Swachhta” in Higher Educational Institutions in the Country. This achievement showcases IGNOU’s continuous efforts towards whole hearted participation in clean and green campus under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

Providing 15% discount to students of July 2018 who opt for soft copy of study material in place of printed copy

Dear Learner,

The University has digitized the study material for different programmes. The digitized material is available at eGyankosh, the digital repository of the University.
The University encourages the use of digital study material. It has been decided that as an incentive, 15% of programme fee shall be refunded to the students who opt for digital study material in place of printed study material.
Presently this scheme is available only to students who have taken admission July 2018 session.
