IGNOU TEE December 2021: Students ask for online exams

IGNOU students took to social media to trend “Justice for IGNOU students” to demand for online or blended exams. The students are also asking for new revised dates for the TEE December 2021 exams as further delay may hamper with their career paths. Read below for more information.

Several students of Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU, have taken to social media to demand online examinations. The Term End Examination (TEE) December 2021 was postponed by IGNOU on January 6, 2022 due to the rapid surge in COVID cases due to the spread of the Omicron Variant.

Students have been utilising Twitter to express their concerns over appearing for the IGNOU TEE December 2021 exams in offline mode. The hashtag “#JusticeforIGNOUStudents” and “#JusticeforStudents” have been trending and used by many to contact the university regarding the decision on the TEE December 2021 exams.

Students are urging IGNOU to shift the exams to online mode and give the students options to appear for an Open Book Exam (OBE) due to safety concerns as chances of infection are high due to the ease of transmission of the Omicron variant.

Online exams are majorly being demanded by students. They wonder if assignments, submissions and classes can occur in online mode, the institution should consider the same for term end exams. Several students have also asked the institution to conduct the exams in a blended mode, if a complete online shift is not possible.
