All set for CBSE exams from March 1

 More than 3.28 lakh students in Patna region, comprising Bihar and Jharkhand, are busy with final revisions to write Class X and XII examinations of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) commencing from March 1.


Altogether 1,58,745 students, up by 15,000 compared to last year, will write Class X exams at 998 centres in the region. Of them, 52,826 are girls. While board-based exams will commence on Tuesday with non-major papers like security and dynamics retail, major paper science will be held on Wednesday and the school-based exams are scheduled March 10 onwards.

The number of students who have registered for taking class XII exams is 79,984, including 27,837 girls. The major first paper of Class XII is English Elective, English Elective (C) and English Core on March 1. CBSE Patna region officials said all preparations to conduct free and fair examinations have been made. "Schools can download the admit cards of their students, attendance sheet and list of candidates at the examination centre online," an official said.
