IGNOU's educational radio channel Gyan Vani and television channel Gyan Darshan are set to come on air. This was announced by IGNOU vice-chancellor professor Nageshwar Rao who was in Lucknow to inaugurate country's largest regional centre building on Tuesday. Both Gyan vani and Gyan Darshan went off air in 2014 on account of outstanding dues which varsity failed to pay.
IGNOU is also in process to re-upload its study material on eGyanKosh, a website which caters to study material of different universities, said the VC. Some time back, IGNOU has stopped uploading its study material on eGyanKosh.
Besides, IGNOU will upgrade its syllabus and introduce Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and skill based courses for lakh of its students. It is also in process to launch new courses in footwear technology and tourism from the coming academic session.
