NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday announced the results of the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) that was held on June 28 across the country.
Candidates can now check their results by entering their roll numbers and date of birth on its website (www.cbseresults.nic.in), the CBSE said in a statement.
Those students who qualified for the award of the junior research fellowship (JRF) would get a basic stipend of Rs 25,000 a month along with the house rent allowance (30 percent in tier I cities) to pursue their research work for a period of five years.
The exam, which consists of three papers, is conducted twice a year.
In order to become eligible to write UGC NET paper, candidates must have scored at least 55 percent in their master's degree.
Since December last year, the CBSE conducts NET examination on behalf of the UGC to determine the eligibility for assistant professor only or JRF.
Meanwhile, the CBSE also announced that it would conduct the UGC-NET December 2015 exam on December 27 (Sunday).
The candidates, who desire to appear in the test, can apply online from October 1.
The last date for applying online is November 1 and fee can be paid up to November 2.
