Deepika student at IGNOU

Before joining the team of Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone had enrolled in a Bachelors of Arts course at IGNOU and is till a student there. The Love Aaj kal babe is registered for a BA Sociology major. After OSO, she'd said in an interview that studies were extremely important for her, but she couldn't take her second year exams because she was busy. Deepika had emphasised that she would try to complete her bachelors as soon as she could.
A source in IGNOU confirmed that Deepika Padukone is indeed a student at IGNOU registered for all three years of BA Sociology. The source said that she has successfully passed her first year and is a second year student now, adding that she'll remain a student with the university till June 2011.

The Classes of your course will begin from 22nd August 2009 from 2:30 p.m. onwards. The Detailed schedule of classes along with batch number allotted to you will be displayed on the notice board on 9th August, 2009 and collect your course material from study centre.
Student should note that 75% attendance is every practical session is compulsory. Also, it is compulsory to submit the examination (along with examination fee) form to appear in the Term Examination December 2009 without late fee from 1st Sept to 30th Sept , 2009.
You are also requested to collect your evaluated assignments if any from study centre on or before 31.7.2009
